Cafe B'Gina
There are arguably more charming kosher dairy cafes in Jerusalem than there are actual living people, so in order to stand out a cafe must truly be something special. Cafe B'Gina (Cafe in a Garden) amply manages that difficult feat; as its name might lead you to believe, a well-tended garden flowers around the Jerusalem stone Arab villa that houses the cafe.
Cafe B'Gina allows you to take in its biggest selling point with spacious outdoor seating, which is the obvious choice during the seven or eight months of the year when the weather is guaranteed to be perfect. The menu offers the same basic categories of food (soups, salads, pastas, sandwiches, pastries) as every other cafe in Jerusalem, but distinguishes itself with a willingness to experiment a bit (pumpkin soup, a salad with Parmesan cheese instead of the standard bulgarit), and scores bonus points with freshly baked bread.
Its location on idyllic Beit Lechem Road guarantees a quiet environment, perfect for couples or spending a few hours over coffee with a good book.
