About

The Azrieli Group's Jerusalem Mall (Malcha) is by far Jerusalem's largest and most popular shopping mall. The three-level facility is home to a staggeringly sizeable kosher food court, and popular stores in the mall include H&M, Zara, Mango, Office Depot, Home Center, SuperPharm, Toys R Us and the Mega supermarket.

All in all, the complex includes a staggering 37,000 square meters of commercial floor space, plus 3000 more for offices. About 260 businesses operate out of the Jerusalem Mall (Malcha), an assortment which includes purveyors of fashion, footwear, cosmetics, electronics, eyewear, food, banks, a post office, money changers, ATMs, hairdressers and florists. The mall also maintains a full calendar of themed promotional events open to the public (check out the "Events" tab for updated listings). Israel's leading developer of retail mega-destinations, the Azrieli Group opened Jerusalem's main shopping mall in Malcha in 1993, effectively heralding a resurgence in the neighborhood, and, together with the Malcha Technological Park and Teddy Stadium, providing a new focal point for a once sleepy corner of the city.

Today the Jerusalem Mall (Malcha) and its environs not only provide a focal point for the neighborhood and the city as a whole, as the area also represents a Jerusalem hub for the suburban communities nearby, which include Beit Shemesh, Ma'aleh Adumim, Gush Etzion and Tzur Hadassah. 3000 free parking spaces (2000 on the premises and another 1000 across the way at Teddy Stadium), plus plenty of taxi routes, bus lines and even Jerusalem's only operating train station make for about 35,000 visitors to the mall each day, solidifying its status as not only a center of commerce, but also one of the city's prime people watching opportunities.
