He was a soldier and a smuggler of illegal immigrants to the shores of Israel. At the same time, Haim Hefer was the songwriter of the Palmach and a poet who wrote some of the most famous Israeli songs.
Even after the War of Independence Haim Hefer continued writing about how we were, what we weren’t and all we hoped to be. From the Chizbatron to Kazablan, with witty rhymes and simple words, he transformed the Israeli spirit into something larger than life.
A musical evening focusing on a most creative man, winner of the Israel Prize, and his extensive creative career. The evening will be accompanied by excerpts from recorded talks with Haim Hefer. Admission: 50 NIS; students: 20 NIS
