Jerusalem Bars
Jerusalem Bar Restaurants provide a cheap and cheerful way to indulge your senses in the local cuisine. With locations in the city centre you can pick up a bite to eat either before or after hitting the bars selling alcohol. The Jachnun Bar is a revelation at opening time (conveniently around lunchtime), with the food piping hot as it leaves the ovens.

What it might lack in aesthetics it more than makes up for in traditionality, local produce and great taste that you will leave you coming back for more. Bolinat is one of the few places open until the early hours, so if you have over-indulged you can be still get a cup of coffee, salads, sandwiches, soups and more to try and soak up the night's excesses.

Neither of these places is kosher, the Jachnun Bar because it is open and makes food on Shabbat (which precludes it from receiving a kosher certification) and Bolinat because it's one of the few places in Jerusalem where you can get bacon.
