Jerusalem 4 Star Hotels

Jerusalem's four star hotels offer an enormous range of choices. Whether coming to Israel for business or pleasure, alone or with family, carefully selecting from four-star picks in Israel's capital city will fit nearly any plan or budget.

Four-star hotels are located in many different Jerusalem neighborhoods. Travelers can choose to be close to the Old City, Jerusalem's world-famous convention center or scores of museums, restaurants and other attractions. Most of the four-star hotels offer some kind of fitness, sport or wellness facility, ranging from a small gym to a rare tennis court. Food offerings vary widely, from mini-bars to a daily breakfast to well-known restaurants nestled inside the hotel, such as Kohinoor at the Crowne Plaza.

Some unique offerings in the four-star range include the Mt. Zion Hotel, the Harmony Hotel, and the Alegra Boutique hotel. Within sight of the Old City and walking distance to some of Jerusalem's most eclectic cultural institutions and restaurants, the Mt. Zion also has a rare treat-an authentic Middle Eastern steam bath.  The Harmony Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Nachalat Shiva-a tiny, trendy pocket of downtown Jerusalem-which appeals to business travelers and tourists alike. With just seven suites and a no-kids policy, the Alegra Boutique hotel in Ein Kerem offers a taste of luxury and gourmet food, plus a pool, spa and wellness center, in a pastoral setting.

Two "hotel rows" in East Jerusalem, along St. George Street and Nablus Road, are near the Old City, the artsy enclave of Musara and the Ultra-Orthodox neighborhood Mea Shearim. Amenities usually include a fitness center or gym, internet access and a variety of room sizes. Find a tennis court at the Addar Hotel, spa treatments at the Grand Court, and a wellness center plus indoor pool at the Legacy Hotel. Other choices in East Jerusalem include the Leonardo Hotel, the Olive Tree Hotel, the National Hotel and the Ambassador Hotel.

Jewish visitors who are seeking Shabbat-friendly hotels can easily find them in Jerusalem-sometimes even including a synagogue on the hotel grounds. Check out the Prima Kings, the Dan Panorama or Rimonim. Travelers coming for business or for large gatherings can find meeting space or easy access to function rooms or Jerusalem's convention center at the Prima Royale, the Jerusalem Gold Hotel or the Dan Jerusalem.

If travelers are using Jerusalem as a base camp for their Israel visit and have rented a car, hotels with free parking garages are especially tempting. The King Solomon and Dan Panorama are right downtown, while the Caesar Premier offers easy access to the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway and the Dan Jerusalem, in the French Hill neighborhood, provides an out to the Dead Sea region or to Tel Aviv.
