The Museum of Islamic Art invites families to enjoy a variety of summer activities at the museum including a Children's Theater Festival, arts and crafts workshops, and exhibits, from July 19-August 23.
Children's Theater Festival:
July 21-August 23 | Sunday-Thursday at 12:00
Performances are for children ages 5 and up, and entrance is included in the regular museum ticket fee.
Sundays: "Hashoresh Shel Tooby" (Tooby's tree root) - Poh-Poh Theater -interactive, musical puppet theater show
Mondays: "Agadot Haya'ar Hamechusaf" (Legends of the Enchanted Forest) - Koreh Theater.
Tuesdays: "Hamelech Shlomo Ve-Ashmadi Melech Hashedim" (King Solomon and Ashmadi King of the Demons) - Koreh Theater
Wednesdays: "Sipur Al Malka Ve-Chidah" (A story about a queen and a riddle) - Delilah Shemesh Theater
Thursdays: "Ali Baba Ve-Arba'im Shodedim" (Ali Baba and the Fourty Bandits) - Teatronchiki Theater
Arts and Crafts Workshops:
July 21-August 26
Sunday-Thursday from 10:00-15:00, Friday from 10:00-13:00
Calligraphy, watches, ceramics, tiles and more. Bring your imagination and roll up your sleeves! The workshops last about 45 minutes to an hour, and are great for a variety of ages and families. Take your project home at the end! There is an additional charge for the workshops.
Free entrance for those visiting alone: Come alone to the museum on Fridays and Saturdays from July 19-August 24 and enjoy free entrance to the museum. Sponsored by the Keren Herman de-Stern foundation.
