Guided Tour in English for lovers of architecture!
Given by architect Moshe Shapira, this guided tour in English is for lovers of architecture and traces the Six Day War’s influence on construction in Jerusalem. The architecture of the city changed after the Six Day War as destruction gave place to euphoric construction in the city. Safra Square looks out onto the Hebrew University Mount Scopus Campus that many saw as megalomaniac and brutal in style, typical of many post-war structures. From Safra Square the tour continues to Hebrew Union College as another impressive structure built during this time period in Jerusalem.
