After last year's great success, the Inbal Jerusalem Hotel is proud to host the second International Terra Olivo Mediterranean Olive Oil Competition.


The TERRAOLIVO 2011 events include an international competition of olive oils, a professional conference, workshops and a magnificent gala dinner with profits to be donated to "Susan's House", an organization which aids at-risk youth through the arts. Over 300 brands of the world's leading olive oils will be represented and judged by both the world's leading authorities from the industry and by the general public.


Over two million shekels have been invested in the various competition eventsmore than double the amount spent in 2010. Competition events include: three days of judging (May 15-17); an international conference on the "Revolution of Olive Oil - Quality, Culinary, and Health", olive oil tasting workshops and lectures by chefs (May 17-18), a festive gala event where the winners will be given awards, and a one-time event in which gastronomic writer Phyllis Glazer and the Inbal Hotel's head chef Moti Bohbot will treat guests with a delicious, one-time culinary experience (May 18, 19:00.)


All events will take place at the Inbal Hotel in Jerusalem, selected for a second consecutive year due to the stellar reputation of their food and culinary services, as well as their vast experience in hosting international conferences and events.


Gala entrance fee: 500 NIS
Conference: 295 NIS
Olive oil tasting workshop: 80 NIS
