Women are the primary carriers of life's burdens - this message is demonstrated in "Head High," Tzipi Kleiner's exhibit at Beit Shmuel, in a series of colorful, ethnic-style oil paintings that were created based on photographs, some of which were taken by the artist. In the paintings that will be displayed at Beit Shmuel, the image of the woman from a traditional society returns again and again, always carrying a heavy load which contains basic necessities such as water, food, or firewood on her head or shoulders.
