BEIT AVI CHAI invites you to fascinating encounters with texts from the Bible, the Talmud, the Midrash, and the Aggadah. These programs, which run throughout the year, include lessons, study in small groups, and joint discussions in a beit midrash format. The program includes lectures by leading scholars of Talmud, Midrash, Aggadah, and the Bible.

In light of the success over the past two years, the beit midrash is expanding and a new Bible study group will be launched this year.

Come get to know the classic texts of Jewish culture in an open and enjoyable atmosphere, in a way that brings up issues that are meaningful to our lives in the here and now.

Batei midrash advisor and instructor: Prof. Avigdor Shinan

This year there will be three groups:

A Bible group led by Dr. Haim Hayun: The Complex Family: A Study of Relationships within the family, in the Torah and the Prophets.

A Talmud group led by Yuval Balnakovski: A study of two chapters from tractate Kiddushin: on marriage, halakhic illegimacy, and "Who is a Jew?"

The program includes approximately 30 weekly sessions during the 2013/14 academic year.
