Transfiguration is observed by Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and Anglican Churches, and is considered one of the twelve Great Feasts.
Transfiguration refers to an event reported in the Synoptic Gospels in which Jesus was transfigured on a mountain, exuding divine radiance. While on the mountain he speaks with Moses and Elijah, and is called the Son of God.
