The Yiddishpiel Theatre presents "De Megilla," a musical comedy based on Megillat Esther, inspired by Itzik Manger's "Megilla Leider." The play is based on Manger's repertoire of songs which tell the story of Megillat Esther as if it had taken place in Eastern Europe at the beginning of the 20th Century, where all of the characters think and speak a lively Yiddish.
