Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to celebrate Sukkot in Jerusalem, and the municipality is ready with a great lineup of special events in store. Sukkot events around the city:

Safra Square tours: guided tours of Safra Square and environs. Tours take place on Tuesday-Thursday, October 2-4 at 11:00 and 13:00. Meeting point is at the "Safra Square Tours begin here" sign. The tours are free.

Priestly Blessings at the Western Wall: Wednesday, October 3 from 9:00-10:00. The priestly blessing at the Kotel with the participation of Israel's Chief Rabbis.


Simchat Beit Hashoeva: October 2-4 from 20:00-23:00 - Sukkot celebrations in various locations around the city, with performances and live music.


Hakafot Shniot: A second round of Hakafot will take place in various locations around the city on October 8 from 20:00-23:00.


Bezalel Arts Fair: Fridays and on the intermediate weekdays of Sukkot from 10:00-16:00. The fair takes place on Bezalel and Shatz streets, as well as the park near the old Mashbir. There are guided tours that leave from the arts fair on Fridays at 12:00. For more information about the arts fair visit www.bezalelfair.co.il.


Community Arts Fair: Sunday October 2-4 from 16:00-23:00: A non profit fair at Alrov Mamilla Avenue. Gifts, baked goods and other items prepared by people with special needs will be for sale.


Bread, Wine and Art Festival: Wednesday October 3 from 17:00-23:00: The festival will take place on Beit Lechem Road in Baka. The road will be closed to traffic, and stands selling culinary goods and art will be set up along the street. There will also be music and artistic performances.


Retroshayalim Fair: Thursday night October 4 (and every Thursday night throughout the year) from 12:00-22:00 on the Agripas pedestrian mall walkway (between King George and the Machane Yehudah market.


Mesibar Rivlin Fair: Every Wednesday in October from 17:00-23:00 on Rivlin Street in Nachalat Shiva


Jerusalem Forest Extravaganza: October 2 from 11:00-16:30: Tours and activities in the forest, activity booths, children's activities, performances. The event will take place in the Jerusalem Forest - parking is available at the Beni Zion parking lot near Yad Vashem.
