The National Library presents "The Baal Shem Tov and Rabbi Nachman of Breslav": an exhibit marking 250 years since the death of the Baal Shem Tov and 200 years since the death of Rabbi Nachman of Breslav. The exhibit will include a Hebrew letter that the Rabbi Nachman of Breslav wrote to his daughter Odel shortly before his death, as well as a handwritten letter from the Baal Shem Tov to Rabbi Moshe of Kotov. The whole entrance area of the National Library will be transformed and designed in the style of a Jewish 18th century village, with corners dedicated to the Baal Shem Tov's Beit Midrash, a "Tisch" table, and Chassidic texts and stories. Additionally there will be drawings which reflect the spirit of Chassidut in the 18th and 19th centuries. Dr. Esther Libes: curator. Boaz Kedar: designer.
Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 to 19:30; Friday, 9:00 to 12:30
