On October 25, 2010, Masa Israel Journey will host its annual kick-off event for over 2,500 young adults from over 60 countries who have come to Israel on gap year, study abroad, internship and volunteer programs. This year's event will feature prominent speakers including Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky, exciting multimedia and performance pieces, and a concert by popular Israeli musician Idan Raichel.
But you don't have to be in Jerusalem to take part in the excitement!
Staff and participants from Masa Israel programs, Jewish bloggers, and social innovators will cover the event live on Twitter, Facebook, and other social platforms using the #MasaOpen10 hashtag, so anyone can follow along with the event online. This exciting initiative will bring together organizations from across the spectrum to cooperate in communicating the unique and amazing experiences that long-term Israel programs offer.
Videos being shown at the event will simultaneously be posted and a live Twitter stream will be available on the Masa Israel blog at http://www.themasaisraelblog.org/MasaOpen10 and at http://www.jewishagency.org/MasaOpen10 website starting at 18:30 GMT+2/12:30 EST before the event.
