Risa Miller reads from her latest novel My Before and After Life

The story about two sisters who react to their father's sudden turn to orthodoxy. Publishers Weekly calls Miller "... extremely skilled in her exploration of religion as a personal decision, a profound experience, and a source of surprise and wonder."

Miller‘s first novel, Welcome to Heavenly Heights, won rave reviews. She won the PEN Discovery Award and is Visiting Writer at the Shaindy Rudoff Graduate Writing Program at Bar Ilan University.
