The Bloomfield Science Museum in cooperation with the European Union and the I Do climate change committee invite the public to a public, participatory discussion, entitled "Against the Tide of Environmental Crisis." The discussion is meant to increase awareness about the subject of environmental crisis and serve as a call to local action in order to reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses. Environmental experts will talk with local residents to come up with concrete suggestions for Israeli lawmakers to consider.

 

The program will include:


*Against the Tide: interactive discussion theatre


*Experts Panel: Naomi Zur, Jerusalem Municipality | Yuval Arbel, Friends of the Earth | Dr. Michal Perla, The Electric Company | Dr. Shachar Dolev, The Energy Forum | Noa Singer, the Green Web


*Small working groups and preparing a document of suggestions from a local point of view


*Conclusion and presentation of the main findings and suggestion



The suggestions from the discussions will be written up and presented to the committee for environmental issues of the Jerusalem Municipality, the committee of MKs for green house gas reduction policy making, social lobby, the "Sustainable Living" committee, and the Committee for Environmental Protection of the EU.
