Jerusalem joins the International Limmud family! Limmud is an organization built by Jewish volunteers from everywhere along the religious and political spectrum, with the aim of creating a space for encounters and learning, stemming from the strong belief that "learning leads to action."

The first Limmud Jerusalem conference will take place on Lag Ba'Omer, May 10, 2012 at the Herzl Center on Mount Herzl. Participants include comedian Jackie Levy, MK Haim Amselem, educator Malka Petrekovsky, Professor William Kolbrenner, Shmuel Rosner, Rabbi Uri Regev, DJ Rosenfeld, Amit Assis, Rabbi Natan Lopez Kordozo, Avishai Well, and many others.

There will be sessions in both Hebrew and English, and the day's events will include a in the Jerusalem forest, Torah Toga, literary and Talmudic analyses, Havruta learning, a jam session, practical Kaballah, sessions on returning to the roots, sexuality and Jewish values, Jewish women's leadership, contemporary "Jerusalemite" Judaism, and more. The event is open to anyone who seeks to deepen, learn more about, encounter, and be exposed to the various components that make up the concept of Judaism.
