Jerusalem is a truly magnificent cultural center where you can enjoy performances to suit a wide and varied range of interests. Jerusalem is very well regarded for it's chamber and orchestral performances, as played by the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra or the the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra; who have their home in the Jerusalem Theater, one of the finest locations for performances in the city.
For those searching for something a little more edgy, there is Zappa on the Hebron Road and the Yellow Submarine in Talpiot. With well-known and well-respected Israeli artists making frequent appearances by attending a performance you will be able to get a sense of what the music scene (including jazz in the case of the Yellow Submarine) is like in Jerusalem.
Chet-7 (Sheva) is on the bottom floor of the parking lot underneath Beit Avi Chai. An intimate venue that plays host to music, theater, comedy and improv it's a great place to see a performance. There is also a club devoted to comedy known as the Comedy Basement, which is underneath Binyan Clal.
