Hidden away in a tiny alley running between Agrippas Street and Jaffa Street is, somewhat inexplicably, one of the most famous and well-regarded restaurants in Israel. Turn into the alley from Agrippas (a helpful sign points the way) and you'll find Arcadia, the labor of love of Israeli chef Ezra Kedem, and one of Jerusalem's few internationally recognized establishments.
Peer into the underground kitchen from windows in the alley before walking through the gate into Arcadia's lovely Jerusalem stone courtyard garden, and prepare for a truly international dining experience. Kedem is famed for his love and encyclopedic knowledge of Israeli cuisine and traditional cooking styles, and he brings that expertise to a Mediterranean French menu alive with local colors and flavors.
