April 2013 at the Bloomfield Science Museum: Events and Activities for Families
On Yom Hashoah April 8 and Yom Hazikaron April 15 the museum will be closed.
In honor of spring, two pools of shallow water will re-open in the museum courtyard with active displays that invite visitors to touch and operate them. In the museum "forum" tours will take place among huge, amusing machines that do "nothing", and also tours of the CAPTCHA exhibit. On Saturdays, Yom Ha'atzmaut, and Lag Ba'Omer, Dr. Molecule's performance will take place in the auditorium.
Yom Ha'atzmaut, April 16: guided activity of mechanisms including a tour of large, amusing machines that do "nothing."
In the arts and crafts corner, young children are invited to build a pan flute from pipettes, to learn some scientific fundamentals of music and take them home as a souvenir.
Additionally, there will be a scientific demonstration about the man with the hammer, a demonstration which reveals how every day household items work.
Both the demonstration and workshop are free of additional charges.
In the museum auditorium Dr. Molecule's humorous performance will take place (additional charge applies).
On Yom Ha'atzmaut: free entrance for children and half-price entrance for adults. Tickets for 5 NIS for Dr. Molecule's show. With support from the Jerusalem Municipality.
Lag Ba'Omer, April 28-29, 2013 (Sunday and Monday): The museum will be open to visitors from 10:00-18:00
