The Austin Ballet hits the stage at the Gerard Bechar Center with the show "Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project" at its first ever performance in Israel, as part of the Acre Alternative Israeli Theater.

The project, initiated by artistic director and choreographer Stephen Miles, was born after the September 11th bombing of the Twin Towers, when Miles struggled to find meaning in his identity as a citizen of the world and wished to open a deeper dialogue with his audience. The project aims to impart valuable lessons previously unlearned from the Holocaust, promote tolerance and human rights through art, education, and communal dialogue.
