Molecular Cooking: Science at Work in the Kitchen

New activities:

Cooking Science: a scientific demonstration that fuses chemistry and biology principles and applies them to cooking in the kitchen. What happens in the baking, roasting, and boiling processes? Why does cooking change the color of food? How does it improve taste? A demonstration about the processes of heating, cooling, and how various materials join together and come apart.

Fruit Caviar: a molecular cooking workshop in which children prepare colorful fruit caviar and then eat it.

Dr. Molecule in the Kitchen: a humorous theatrical-scientific performance for the whole family on science in the kitchen. With the help of children in the audience, Dr. Molecule executes scientific experiments and explains basic concepts in kitchen chemistry. The performance takes place every Saturday in the Museum's auditorium. There is an entrance fee of 20 NIS (in addition to museum admission).
