The Jerusalem Municipality presents A Children's Winter: two weekends of family and children's events. The initiative is organized by the Jerusalem Development Authority and the Jerusalem Municipality and produced by the Ariel Company.

The events will take place on the first two weekends in March: March 3-5, 2011 and March 10-12, 2011. The weekends present a unique opportunity for families to enjoy Jerusalem's many family-friendly cultural offerings for free or at discounted prices.

All of Jerusalem's museums will participate, offering discounted admission prices. Family tickets will be available for 60 NIS, and individual tickets for 15 NIS.

Events at the Bloomfield Science Museum:

Riddle Hunt: Search for the riddles hidden among the museum's exhibits and get prizes. The game is part of the municipality's "Treasure Hunt" activity in Givat Ram, on Shabbat, March 5 and 12, 2011. Entrance to the museum is free for "Treasure Hunt" participants on those days.

The Mirror Room: Guided tours and Building Corner for the whole family: walk around in a huge kaleidoscope made from mirrors. Each mirror is reflected in other mirrors and the view is different from each standing point. An enchanting, fascinating experience. Children are invited to build their own mirror kaleidoscope and take it home.

Guided tours of the water exhibits: Water in Jerusalem, Water Sources, and Researching Water. Children are invited to build centrifugal water fountain, which squirts water when it is spun around.

Dr. Water Molecule: the show will take place on Shabbat at 13:00.

All events in the framework of "A Children's Winter" will take place on Thursday - Saturday, March 3-5 and 10-12, 2011. Thursdays: 14-18:00; Fridays: 10:00-14:00; Saturdays: 10:00-16:00.

Special discounted prices: Single ticket: 15 NIS (vs. the usual 34 NIS for adults and 27 for children); family ticket: 60 NIS (vs. the usual 110 NIS); Children under the age of five: free.
