Machol Shalem's "SHALEM Jewish Dance Festival 2010" will take place in Jerusalem on December 20-23, 2010 with performances at the Gerard Bechar Center and the Musrara School.
An annual event, the Shalem dance festival presents a collection of innovative dance works by local and international dance artists.
The 2010 festival is focused on hosting independent dance producers from both Israel and Europe, alongside video art and video-dance installments.
The 2010 festival program is as follows:
Monday, December 20, 2010 at 20:30 at Gerard Bechar: Opening Night. Zanbasus by Ofra Idel and Fuera de Campo by Daniel Abreu, performed by The Dance Theatre Zawirowania
Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 21:00 at Gerard Bechar: Why We Tell by Rachel Ardos, Arnica by Noa Dar, and Alaska by Mia Stern
Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 21:00 at The Musrara School: Words and Glass, a duet by Aharon Manor and Peanuts 4734, composed and performed by Ziv Frenkel with Fatiga Taxux and Valenti Rocamora.
Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 21:00 at The Musrara School: Closing night. What on Earth by Matanikola - Matan Zamir and Nikola Masha.
