About

The Wolfson Towers, a residential complex in the distinguished, tree-lined Rechavia neighborhood, is home to more Americans than probably a lot of apartment buildings in America itself. Spend enough time there, and you'll probably be convinced that you've been transported to one of New Jersey's heavily Orthodox Jewish towns, only with palm trees.

The local hangout for the Anglo crowd is Belinda, a bustling cafe catering to the tastes of the neighborhood's populace with a mehadrin kosher dairy menu featuring a heavy emphasis on healthy natural ingredients. Tourists and temporary residents should feel comfortable surrounded by fellow English-speakers and the restaurant's American owner.

The menu offers the standard selection of soups, sandwiches, quiches and salads, and dips a little into the adventurous side of things with ginger-infused Asian tofu on brown rice, salmon cakes and veggie burgers. A generous dessert menu and of course plenty of coffees and teas are also offered.

Opening hours

Sunday to Thursday 8:30 to 18:30; Friday 8:30 to 12:30
