The start of the month of Cheshvan, when the Torah reading cycle begins anew, turns into an excellent opportunity to focus on new beginnings.


Moderator: Prof. Avigdor Shinan


The program also includes professor Yaira Amit, Department of Biblical Study, Tel Aviv University: "The Uniqueness of the Sabbath in the Eyes of the Torah," who will discuss the unique link between the Sabbath and the story of creation.


Alon Gur Arye, lecturer in film studies, director and scriptwriter: "Beginnings in Movies" -

the way in which the opening minutes in film influences a viewers perception and the cinematic devices used to capture an audiences' attention.


With music by Yossi Lev. Admission free, subject to available space. The program will be streamed live on the BEIT AVI CHAI website.
