The Shai Brenner Trio - Russian Songs with a Gypsy Swing
Refreshing interpretations of top Israeli songs | Artistic direction: Barak Weiss
Many Russian melodies that made their way to Israel, especially during the Second and Third Aliyas, are considered an integral part of the culture of the pioneers and of the labor Zionist agricultural settlements. The Shai Brenner Trio performs arrangements of these songs that forge a fascinating musical link between Mother Russia, Palestine-Eretz Israel, 1930s jazz, and Gypsy music.
With: Shai Brenner, soprano saxophone | Ori Ban Tzvi, Gypsy guitar | Adam Ben Ezra, contrabass
Admission: NIS 50, students: NIS 30, first drink on the house
