Walls and Tunes: Thursday Evening Musical Tours at the Tower of David Museum in October 2012
October 4 at 17:00 | October 11 and 25 at 17:30
The Tower of David Museum presents Thursday evening musical tours in the Old City of Jerusalem on Thursday afternoons in October. The tours offer encounters with Jerusalem's past, the way of life in various periods throughout history. Learn about central characters that stood out in their uniqueness through stories and sounds. Through the songs, participants will reveal a bit of the city's cultures and religions from its notes and songs, ancient landscapes that have been preserved until today. The songs that are part of the fabric of Jerusalem's history date back to King David's poetry and melodies, the songs of the Levites, the sounds of crusader wedding parades and the dizzying Sufi dances. Experience all of this on a tour that begins at the Tower of David and ends at the Western Wall.
Tour duration: 2 hours. Admission includes participation in "Just Before Nightfall" - extended opening hours at the museum and live music in the courtyard. Additional cost for The Night Spectacular: 40 NIS
