Palm Sunday, a feast day which occurs in the Sunday before Easter, commemorates the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem days before the crucifixion.
Palm Sunday gets its name for the palm branches that crowds of the faithful set down in the path of Jesus, for him to walk upon them.
