Beit Lessin Theater presents "Alma and Ruth," a heartfelt play about mothers and daughters, loyalty and art, and the painful rips in Israeli society. Ruth, a young Haredi, author of an acclaimed debut novel, forms a friendship with Alma, who is excited by Ruth's success and sees great promise in her writing. Alma takes Ruth under her wings to and encourages her to continue writing. Ruth is forced to lead a "double life," hiding her writing from her family and community, but she is forced to confront them when her activities are discovered by her family.
