The Museum of Islamic Art presents live children's performances and an assortment of holiday-inspired arts and crafts workshops from September 15-24, 2013 (excluding Shabbat and holidays).
Arts and Crafts Workshops:
Create Sukkah decorations, musical instruments, watches, jewelry, calligraphy and more.
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday 10:00-15:00
Friday and holiday eves: 10:00-13:00
Workshops last around 45 minutes.
Live performances:
Koreh Theater Children's Performances - the performances will take place daily over the intermediate days of Sukkot at 12:00. Entrance fee to the shows is included in the price of a regular museum ticket. Duration of each show is around 45 minutes. The Koreh Theater brings stories to life through movement, play, and song.
Sunday September 22: Chanale and the Shabbat Dress - Chana gets a new dress for Sukkot. Can she keep it clean?
Monday September 23: The Sultan and the King of the Trees: The Sultan wants to live in the biggest Sukkah in the world. On the way to finding it, he meets the King of the Trees from whom he learns how to be a true king.
Tuesday September 24: King Solomon and the Bee: King David's son comes to the Sukkah to share the wisdom he learned from a small bee.
