Sukkot 2013 at the Tower of David Museum

Bring the whole family to the Tower of David Museum over the intermediate days of Sukkot for a dramatized experiential tour, holiday-themed story hour, and arts and crafts. The tour is in Hebrew and takes place every hour on the hour between 10:30 and 15:30.
A Street in Jerusalem:
"Oskar Golan" plans to take you around the citadel on an interactive tour, having just finished the book A Street in Jerusalem. In fact ... it's everything he's been looking for, everything that makes a good movie: drama, action, suspense, war, love and of course a whole array of superheros: Kind David, Herod, knights, sultans and more.
Oskar will tell the children and audience about his vision, to film and produce an internationally acclaimed blockbuster movie that will tell the remarkable story of Jerusalem, and he wants to produce it quickly, before anyone else can snatch his idea. And so in order not to waste any more time, Oskar will use the participants in the audience as his production team...
In addition there will be an arts and crafts workshop as well as an exhibit of the original illustrations of Ivgney Barshekov that were made for the book "A Street in Jerusalem".

Length of workshop: 45 minutes
Appropriate for ages 5 - 10 yrs.
Sukkot-themed story hour with Yair Lehman: a variety of theatrical stories about the "ushpizin" (guests) visiting the museum over Sukkot. An assortment of outfits and objects turn every audience member into an active participants and "ushpizin" themselves!
Arts and Crafts: Block building inspired by different historical periods in Jerusalem. Active display of illustrations from "A Street in Jerusalem." Building a tower from huge blocks and a workshop for building helmets and shields.
Museum Opening Hours in September:
Sunday - Thursday: 09:00 - 16:00 and Fridays and Saturdays: 09:00 - 14:00
Erev Chag and Chag 09:00 - 14:00
Yom Kippor the Museum is closed.
