Stories and anecdotes, melodies and songs, in a show by the women's ensemble Neshot Havah with host Zvi Salton.
Neshot Hava performs Mizrachi and European folksongs, biblical texts, Sabbath songs, and selections of prayers with new arrangements and in a variety of styles: jazz, rock, Balkan, Greek, Moroccan, and Middle Eastern.
Zvi Salton tells stories and anecdotes from the Jewish shtetl, the likes of Shalom Aleichem, Isaac Bashevis Singer, and Yossel Birstein. He also tells stories with humor, witticisms, and fond nostalgia from shtetl life and relates tales of the wise men of Chelm.
