The Botanical Gardens and the Ariel Company present "Kabalat Shabbat": Friday Concerts at the Gardens every Friday at 16:00 throughout August 2010. Come prepare to bring in Shabbat with a music festival with performances from leading Israeli musicians in an intimate atmosphere on the grass in the midst of the beautiful gardens, above the lake and facing the beautiful view of Jerusalem. Each artist will dedicate one song to nature.
*Hat and sunscreen recommended.
August 6: Yoni Richter and guests: one of Israel's most interesting and important pianists and musicians. He'll play songs from throughout his whole career.
August 13: Dani Robes and Dani Litani: a special joint performance in which the two artists will sing their greatest hits, sing each others songs, and sing new renditions of well known and loved songs from the sixties, such as songs of Bob Dylan, the Beatles, and more.
August 20: The Natural Choice: Under the direction of Shlomo Bar, The Natural Choice sets off on a concert tour promoting their recently released album. Playing songs set to the words of famous Israeli and Jewish poets such as Natan Alterman, Leah Goldberg, and Shlomo Ibn Gabirol, the band will play songs from their repertoire throughout the years.
August 27: Danny Sanderson: Danny Sanderson sets off on tour with a new show promoting his recently released album. He'll play songs from his longstanding solo career as a singer and electric guitarist.
