During the summer months, many of Jerusalem's historic parks and coutryards will be transformed into stages for the performing arts: dance, cinema, music, theatre, and more.
On Tuesday nights throughout July and August, The Society for the Protection of Nature's Sergei's couryard will host classical, ethnic, and world music performances.
July 27: Wind Instrument Ensemble of the Rubin Academy for Music and Dance performs works of Talman, Bach, Hayden, Mozart, Danzi, and others.
August 3: The Israeli String Instrument Orchestra performs Israeli and Classical music in unique new arrangements. Moti Schmidt: conductor and musical director.
August 8: Pergolesi's Opera La Serva Padrona: The Maid as Mistress performed by the Jerusalem Chamber Opera Theatre. Ilya Plotkin: conductor.
August 17: World Classical meets Israeli Classical: an instrumental concert with original arrangements of classical music. Moshe Zorman: piano, Asaf Roth: marimba.
August 24: Yotam Kohen and the Master Quartet play the Neapolitan Sentiment.
August 31: Classical in Yiddish: Classical songs and opera excerpts. Concept: Alexander Appelzeift.
