Colony presents a World Music Spring Concert series: a celebration of world music, fine food and beverages from around the world. Artistic director: Dudu Balilti.
June 3 - Sound of the Ground - Afro Moroccan Fusion - Dudu Balilti: African rhythm celebration; a journey from the roots, through an ecstatic breaking of the vessels, and a spiritual quest with a direct connection to the development of jazz from its black roots and til this day.
June 10 - Joseph and One: A celebration of a world mix with pieces influenced by classical Arab music, Western classical music, flamenco, jazz, and rock.
June 17 - Fiesta Flamenca: Fiesta Flamenca hosts flamenco dancer Sharon Sagi. A unique cooperation producing strong, contemporary, flamenco. The flamenco is of the style now heard in the sea side clubs of southern Spain, together with energetic and moving dance.
June 24 - Tom Cohen Quartet: A performance which combines Gypsy-Andalusian-Balkan-Classical virtuoso music, with lots of energy and emotion. A fascinating musical journey, accompanied by explanatory notes and commentary to provide the audience with a unique experience.
