Celebrate Chanukah with the Museum of Islamic Art. The museum presents a variety of children's activities for the whole family which will take place on every day of the Chanukah vacation, from December 21-28, 2011. Activities include visits to the museum's galleries, children's performances, and arts and crafts activities with take home projects.
Performances:
Performances will take place every day at 12:00 and the price is included in museum admission.
Wednesday December 21: Magic Show: "Adon Kalfon and the Magic Box"
Thursday December 22: From "One Thousand Nights": participatory story theater
Friday December 23: The Train Theater: "The Sufgania That Rolled Away"
Sunday December 25: "Ayelet's Strange Chanukah Occurrence"
Monday December 26: "What Happened to the Latke on Chanukah"
Tuesday December 27: The Train Theater: "Folded Stories"
Wednesday December 28: Koreh Theater: "The Big Dreidel" - participatory Chanukah-themed story theater
Arts and Crafts workshops:
Workshops will take place on weekdays between 10:00-15:00 and on Friday between 10:00-12:30.
Parents and children can work together to create a variety of Chanukah-themed arts and crafts, musical instruments, weapons, and other objects in the spirit of Islamic Art and inspired by the museum's exhibits.
