Beit Avi Chai presents Asheriko--Back by popular demand--A tribute to paytan and composer Asher Shimon Mizrahi (1890–1967).

 

Asher “Asheriko” Mizrahi, a native of the Old City of Jerusalem and one of the greatest paytanim and composers of the 20th century in the Jewish communities from North Africa and the Middle East

An evening of piyyutim, maqamat, and Ladino songs in honor of the esteemed paytan, poet, and composer, whose works are heard today in Jewish communities around the world
