The Government of Israel, the Jerusalem Municipality, and the Jerusalem Development Authority, together with the JNF and SPNI have teamed up to promote the establishment of the Jerusalem Park. The Jerusalem Park consists of open green areas in the spaces surrounding Jerusalem. These spaces, which are adjacent to the inhabited communities of urban Jerusalem, were created in order to protect the natural environment and serve as an open rural space for Jerusalmites to relax and enjoy nature.
In honor of Tu Bishvat, the Jerusalem Park will host a family celebration and planting event. The event is open to the public and will feature activities for the whole family in Emek Ha'arazim - Einot Telem, including planting, bird calling, nature arts and crafts, horse back riding, guided tours, and more. Everyone is invited to come, plant, and enjoy!
