Beit Avi Chai presents Kicking Off the Month--Shvat: Land, Mud, and Swamp.

In Shvat, farmers and ordinary people hope for rain and for the aroma of damp earth. As all eyes turn to the thirsty soil, we'll talk about land and mud in Israeli art and about the most famous swamp in Israel.

Moderator: Dani Danieli, director of BEIT AVI CHAI

With:
Dr. Gideon Ofrat, art scholar-on the idyllic image of land in the art of Eretz Israel and its metaphorical-critical deterioration into swamp and mud in modern Israeli art

Dan Alon, director of the Israel Ornithology Center of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel-on the international ecological importance of the Hula swamp

Sing-along with Yossi Lev

Admission free, but subject to available space.

Tickets available from 7:30 PM

This is a Hebrew-language only event
