Beit Avi Chai presents "Justice for the People": Music, Scriptures, and Current Events, with Haham David Menachem.

This past summer raised the issues of the burning need for values such as justice, equality, and mutual responsibility. The Jewish People demanded social justice well before summer 2011. In the Bible, social laws occupy the limelight, kings are punished for their sins, and the prophets raise the flag of the struggle for social justice. What can we learn from these ancient verses? Is there anything that we can implement now?

Haham David Menachem hosts artists in an open and probing discussion about burning issues of the past and present, with live accompaniment by Menachem and his guests.

Musical direction: Shaanan Streett

At each session, Haham David Menachem hosts a musician for a discussion and a performance.

Admission (per session): NIS 50; students: NIS 30 (first drink on the house).
All sessions in P7.
