The Museum of Islamic Art presents a tribute to Orientalism, and specifically to the artist Franscesco Franchetti. The event will take place on March 15, 2011 at 18:00 and will include a lecture and visual presentation about Franchetti (1878-1931) and Orientalism among Italian artists of that period. The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Asher Sela of the Bezalel Academy for Art and Design. The artist's niece, Louisa Frachetti Naor, will be in attendence.
