Shavuot at the Museum: May 14-15

In light of the success of the mechanism tour among the museum's displays, the family-friendly tour will be offered again. In addition there will be scientific demonstrations about static electricity, a "How Stuff Works" demonstration, in which every day household items are taken apart and explained, and a guided visit to the "Flashlight in the Dark" exhibit, in which the lights are turned out to see things a little differently.

Other highlights:

*Pipette building workshop for kids: build a pan flute from pipette. Kids have the opportunity to build, experiment with scientific principles (how does the length of the pipette affect the sound it makes), and take it home to continue making music.

*Guided tours for the whole family of the CAPTCHA exhibit

*Dr. Molecules performance in the auditorium (at extra cost)

*On Thursday May 16, "Isru Chag" Shavuot and International Museum Day, there is free entrance to the museum (Dr. Molecules performance is at cost)
