Just Before Nightfall: Thursday Evenings in September and October 2012 at the Tower of David Museum
The Tower of David Museum presents "Just Before Nightfall" in September and October 2012: a visit to the Tower of David Museum combined with a musical performance under the stars, amongst archaeological remnants and a cultured garden, in the magical evening atmosphere.
The museum will extend its opening hours on Thursdays and stay open from 10:00-19:30. In the main plaza, near the coffee shop, ensembles will play world music.
Performance schedule for September 2012:
September 13: Synapse band with Raanan Donovich (keyboards and flute) Jeff Green (saxophone) Reuven Oppenheim (guitar and vocals) and Moshe Hanoren (drums) - jazz from around the world and Jazz-inspired Israeli music
September 20: Shufra band with Tali Taron (piano and vocals) Ben Peretz (saxophone), Asher Perel (percussion) Menachem Valet (contrabass) with oldies, jazz, and world music in new arrangements
September 29: "Free Your Mind" with Franco-Israeli singer Francoise in a Paris-Jazz performance-French Chansons and romanticisim meets jazz. With Uriel Oshrat (keyboards) and Dor Biran (drums).
All events are included in museum entrance fee (15-30 NIS).
Events take place in cooperation with the Jerusalem Development Authority's "Old City Nights" program.
