International Museum Day will take place this year on May 10, 2012. In honor of the day, 68 museums around the country will be open free of charge. The goal of the day is to expose the rich cultural offerings of museums to the public and encourage them to enjoy visiting museums regularly.
International Museum Day at the Museum of Islamic Art
This year, International Museum Day falls out on the same day as the Lag BaOmer holiday. In honor of the day, the Museum of Islamic Art will hold arts and crafts workshops between 10:00-15:00.*
In addition, there will be a children's performance and guided tours.
12:00: Children's performance: "A Strange Occurrence for the Queen of Sheba" for ages 5-8
16:00: Guided tour of selected galleries
*There is a fee for participation in the workshops
