Four items dating from the 16th to the 18th century - a deer's pelvic bone decorated with scenes from Ovid's Metamorphoses, a shell portraying mythological figures and sea monsters, a serpentine jug, and a canister made of agate plates - are on loan from a private collection in honor of the renewed Museum. These treasures are on public view for the very first time at the Israel Museum.
