The Israel Museum presents "The Four Seasons": a new exhibition which will be on display through October 2011.
Featuring European art from the 17th century onward, the exhibition examines the connection between art, mythology, and folklore in an agrarian society dependent on the cycle of the seasons. On display are paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, mostly from the Israel Museum's collection - by artists such as Peter Brueghel's workshop, Isaac I. Levitan, Camille Pissarro, Auguste Rodin, Lesser Uri, Eldar Farber, and Yuval Yairi.
The exhibition is curated by Shlomit Steinberg, Hans Dichand Curator of European Art.
