New Art Exhibition at Hadassah Art Gallery

The Hadassah Art Gallery at Merkaz Hamagshimim Hadassah aims to provide a platform for both new and old olim artists with native Israelis.
The new exhibition, opening at the end of this month, gives the story of new Tree of Knowledge" biblical commentary. The "Tree of Knowledge" story primarily deals with the discovery of that which was not known to the person's mind, in this case nudity, when the act of eating the fruit made acquisition of knowledge and understanding.
A group of artists from Israel, Argentina and the United States show their work in an attempt to answer the questions that arise from the story: Is new awareness better for a person's understanding? What is the sin of Tree of Knowledge? Is desire a sin itself, or are the discovery and awareness the difference between right and wrong? Does the snake have a major role in leading to a sin and to Molech "?
In their answers, we can see how the art pieces move along the scales of sex, passion, femininity and morality, discovery, and innocence which once existed and now is gone.
