The Jerusalem Artists House invites you to enjoy a variety of events and new exhibitions throughout October and November 2010.
Elad Rosen - My Fire
The winner of the Osnat Mozes young artist painting prize for the year 2010
Opening: Saturday, 16.10.2010. Closing: Saturday, 27.11.2010
Elad Rosen's painting is filled with expectation for that which is yet to come - a new sign language, an alternative geography, a Messiah who may appear and redeem the painting of its misgivings. Using a palette of colors directly from the tube and primal Hieroglyphic handwriting, Rosen aspires to create fundamental emotions - laughter and tears, high and low culture, destruction and utopia.
In honor of his heterogenic and experiential works, his straight-forward and captivating language and emerging potential, Elad Rosen was awarded the Osnat Moses Young Artists Painting Prize for 2010.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue.
Miri Or-Les Fleurs du Mal
Opening: Saturday, 16.10.2010. Closing: Saturday, 27.11.2010
Curator: Yaniv Shapira
The associations that arise from the first encounter with the large scale painting by Miri Or are of fields of flowers against background of sky or water and alternately an innocent looking wallpaper. This initial appearance suggests the double-face tactics that characterize Miri Or's work...(Yaniv Shapira)
Adi Weizmann-Only She Knows
Opening: Saturday, 16.10.2010. Closing: Saturday, 27.11.2010
Curator: Sharon Poliakine
Adi Weizmann presents an installation composed of objects and miniature drawings in two exhibition spaces at the Jerusalem Artists' House. The works, whose source of the raw material is derived from nature, have been domesticated for functional, day to day needs. They re-emerge in the gallery spaces, settle and accept the 'authority' of the space. The concept of a mold as an element which can hold and create, is present in the exhibition on different technical and conceptual levels. The drawings appear on the walls, a hint of creating a delicate action or local mini-growth.

Yonat Ofer-Ziz
Opening: Saturday, 16.10.2010. Closing: Saturday, 27.11.2010
Curator: Nir Harmat
The exhibition Ziz presents images of women unaware of the observer's eye. The paintings are drawn from different angles in a circular format, as if they are enlarged peep-holes. The works, displaying fragments of a naked woman's body in monochromatic black and white, are painted in a seemingly traditional realist style... (Nir Harmat)
